5 Great Steps for Crisis Communications
Too many nonprofit organizations fail to craft a crisis communications plan. For those that do, they often do not ensure that everyone in the organization is aware of the plan. A crisis is scary. I have been through one, and I assure you, that is not the time you want to craft a plan. At the heart-wrenching time when your nonprofit is facing a crisis, all you should have to do is grab your plan and execute it. Here is an article I found by Carmine Gallo. All Executives and Board Members of NPOs should take steps to determine if a crisis management communications plan exists – and they should know what it says. At a time of crisis, you will want to remain focused on the crisis itself – not on drawing up a communications plan.
